Electrical
Panel upgrades and dedicated circuits for your heat pump, plus standby generators so your heat stays on in an outage. Completed by licensed electrical contractors.
Osprey Mechanical specializes in heat pump and ductless system design for Ontario homes. Every system is sized room by room, laid out around how you live, and installed so it looks as good as it performs.

This is our core work. A ductless system is only as good as its design: the wrong size, a head in the wrong spot or a sloppy line set and you get cold rooms, noise and short-cycling. We design every system before we quote it, so it heats evenly through an Ontario winter and disappears into your home.

Attic, wall and basement insulation keeps heat in, so your system can be smaller, quieter and cheaper to run.

The same five steps on every job, from a single head to a whole-home conversion.
We measure your home and calculate how much heat each room needs on the coldest day of the year, to the CSA F280 standard used by Ontario's rebate program.
We plan where every indoor head goes, where the outdoor unit sits and how the lines will run, and walk you through it before you commit.
Line sets run in tidy covers painted to match your home, outdoor units on raised stands above the snow line, and condensate drained properly.
Nitrogen pressure test, deep vacuum, refrigerant charge verified, and every zone tested. Then we show you how to get the most out of your system.
We register your equipment for the 10-year parts and labour warranty and submit your rebate paperwork.

Rebate programs have strict rules about equipment, sizing and approval before installation. Miss one and you can lose the rebate. We check everything with you before any work starts.
Your heat pump, insulation and electrical all affect each other. A well-designed system in a leaky house still struggles, and a panel that can't carry the load stops a project cold. Because we look at the whole home, you get one plan, one quote and a system that performs the way it was designed to.
Ductless systems are sized and placed room by room. Get the size wrong and the system short-cycles, wastes energy and leaves cold spots. Put a head in the wrong place and you feel a draft or a room never warms up. A proper heat loss calculation and layout is what separates a system that works from one that just runs.
Not with us. Line sets run in covers painted to match your siding or brick, routed along clean lines, and outdoor units sit on raised stands placed for airflow, snow and looks. The gallery shows the standard we hold.
Yes. Cold-climate heat pumps keep heating your home well below freezing, and many models are rated to keep working at minus 25°C or colder. In homes with a gas furnace, the furnace can stay in place as backup for the coldest days.
It mostly depends on how you heat your home today and the equipment you choose. Book a free rebate call and we'll tell you what you can likely claim. Some programs need approval before installation, so talk to us before you buy.

New system installations come with a 10-year parts and labour warranty on qualifying equipment. Parts coverage comes from the manufacturer and requires the equipment to be registered, which we do for you. We cover the labour to repair or replace any covered part.
Every job is completed by licensed, certified and fully insured trades, including TSSA-registered gas technicians and licensed electrical contractors where the work requires them.
